Suffolk County is home to some of Long Island's most competitive LIJSL clubs. Massapequa SC and East Meadow SC consistently rank among the best clubs in the country. The county has strong representation at every level from recreational PAL programs through ECNL and MLS NEXT. LIJSL travel tryouts for Suffolk County clubs typically run May–June.
Suffolk County PAL lacrosse is one of the largest youth lacrosse programs in the country, operating 31 units across 40+ communities. On the travel side, Suffolk County produces more D1 lacrosse commits per capita than almost any region in the US.
