How Travel Baseball Age Groups Work on LI
Travel baseball on Long Island uses USA Baseball age designations: 8U, 9U, 10U, 11U, 12U, 13U, 14U, 15U, 16U, 17U, 18U. The 'U' stands for 'Under' — a player must be under that age.
Age cutoff: USA Baseball uses April 30 as the age cutoff for most youth divisions. A player's age on April 30 determines their youngest eligible age group for that season.
